An Edwardian property with a new lease of life

With an abundance of original features – including fireplaces, decorative mouldings and stained-glass windows – there was plenty to admire in Richard’s family home. Even so, signs of wear and tear, coupled with a lacklustre colour palette, necessitated the need for a change.

This was a delicate exercise in creating a new look without losing the property’s original old-school charm, homeliness and eclecticism. Particular attention was paid to upcycling old furniture favourites, refurbishing fire surrounds, and painting rooms an assortment of rich hues.

The result is a home reborn, ready for its next chapter.
