Our story

Richard Angel and Ed O’Donnell first met in 2016 at a renowned interiors studio. Richard was a year into his role as Managing Director; Ed had just taken the reins as Creative Group Head. Their connection was immediate – professionally and philosophically.

They soon began questioning a culture where process overshadowed imagination, and a rigid ‘house style’ left little room for client individuality. They believed great design should be fluid, personal, and courageous – shaped by people, not formula.

So they made a bold move to build a studio where creativity and originality could flourish. Where design wasn’t dictated by a set look, but guided entirely by the people it was made for. No cookie cutters. No rules for rules’ sake. Just distinctive, deeply considered interiors that reflect those who live in them.

In 2018, Angel O’Donnell opened its doors. What started as a two-person venture is now a thriving studio. Awards have followed, the press has taken notice, and a growing portfolio of homes has been delivered – each one crafted with care, character, and conviction.
