One of London’s tallest luxury residential towers has arrived

The Capital’s biggest regeneration project just got bigger

When we were asked to interior design four residences at River Park Tower, our brief was to create something punchy and playful that would appeal to young and wealthy buyers. So we conducted several site visits, looked at the amazing views from each apartment, and took it from there.

London’s pick ‘n’ mix of old and new architecture inspired pointy headboards, tubular chairs, and bubble-shaped sofas. While its abundance of colours – the reds of buses, the greys of Portland stone and pigeons, the chestnuts, cinnamons and verdant greens of royal parks, and the steely silvers of skyscrapers – informed our palette.

Bubbly personality

Friendly, squidgy, bubble-like shapes fill one of the living rooms at River Park Tower. From the sofa that resembles a wiggly inflatable to the artwork above that depicts two cowboys in bulbous Stetsons and chaps – every piece has been curated to elicit smiles from wealthy cosmopolitan students and young professionals.

Into the blue

Things take a cool, calm turn in the bedrooms – where shades of blue, seafoam, orange and pale peach riff with the gentle textures of mohair, waffle weave, appliqué and hemp-like wallpaper to create a soothing, sleepful rhythm.

Grey matter

In one of the study rooms, we opted to cover the walls in a naturally pigmented, mineral-rich limewash paint. Its variegated tones of light and dark grey have a misty, cloud-like – even velveteen – quality. The effect is preternaturally relaxing, especially when you add quiet, understated furniture, and an immersive abstract landscape painting by Cornwall-based artist Harry Wade.
