Colourful interiors with a contemporary twist at Amory Tower

Amory Tower is a silvery, sharp-lined, 53-storey monolith flanked by fin-like strips, which appear to ripple in the light.

It’s a striking addition to Canary Wharf’s prestigious skyline – something we wanted to celebrate in our interiors.

The strong lines, acute angles, glistening metal – even the moiré effect of the undulating fins – were qualities we were keen to replicate in fluted wood detailing, brass inlays, glass tabletops and patterned fabrics.

Trick of the light

Shiny metal, sculptural shapes, and dining chairs that have been upholstered in a heather-hued wool and backed in Labyrinthe Noir, by Jean Paul Gaultier. The compact wavy lines of the design echo the moiré effect of the building’s exterior.

Hidden depths

At first glance, the wall doesn’t look upholstered. The padded panels blend seamlessly into the bold graphic shapes of the wallpaper. This optical trick extends to the black bedside tables, which melt into the dark hues so that the lamps appear to float.

Let it slide

The joinery was designed in-house. It features a specially commissioned, mid-century inspired acrylic that slides across to reveal a hidden bar, replete with cocktail shaker and cut-glass goblets.

In your corner

We designed this booth to optimise the space between the kitchen and living room. The petrol blue leather of the bench completes the galaxy grey marble of the tabletop.

For extra texture, we upholstered the curved-back chairs in dual fabrics: a fine grain leather taupe on the front and a soft virgin wool on the back.
